Amanda is a Registered Nurse, mother of three, and community leader in Portland, Oregon. She was the first candidate ever to qualify for Portland's Public Campaign Financing in her run for City Council in 2006.

That crane is one reason my husband is only semi-retired today, instead of retired. He has worked in the Electrical Shop at Terminal 6 for more than 20 years. As a key electrical trouble-shooter in the shop, he decided to continue working part-time, at least until the new crane is installed and the start-up trouble-shooting completed -- which often takes several months.
