The most beautiful bridge in the world

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. As I drove across the St Johns Bridge at noon yesterday, I realized for me, this bridge holds up against more famous ones I've seen in London, Paris, and Rome. It fits in its place perfectly, and the lines, proportions, and accessory features are lovely. We are so blessed to live in Portland, Oregon.

My parents bought the family

My parents bought the family a set of Encyclopedia Britannica in 1960. There was one page of black and white photos under bridges, with, I think, 9 images. The St. Johns bridge was one of them, along with the Golden Gate and the Brooklyn, to name a couple. I still have that encyclopedia set. Dave Lister
